Arlington, Virginia – September 14, 2016 – Michael Schaal will speak at the keynote session at the Platts 11th Annual Pipeline Development and Expansion Conference, to be held September 29-30 in Houston.  Michael will be kicking off the conference with, “Oil and Natural Gas Pricing Report.” Michael will be providing an overview of the current state of the oil and natural gas markets with an eye towards those trends to watch for the future.

Platts’ 11th Annual Pipeline Development and Expansion Conference this year explores the demand, challenging contracts, and changing policies confronting the natural gas and crude oil pipelines in the 21st century. The conference provides an opportunity for delegates to interact with experts to explore these challenges and develop insights into potential opportunities. The conference itself will address topics such as; the risk of delay and cancellation of pipeline expansions among project sponsors and shippers, and planning implications of such issues, pipeline developments in South Texas to serve LNG and Mexico exports, Canadian infrastructure updates, specifically in Western Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast, and case studies on Atlantic Coast and Sunbury Northeast pipeline projects.

Michael Schaal, former Director of the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) Office of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Analysis, joined Energy Ventures Analysis, Inc. (EVA) in June to lead the company’s Natural Gas and Petroleum practice.
