Founded by Robert L. Sansom, previously the founder and president of Energy & Environmental Analysis, and four other partners.
- 1982
EVA publishes the first COALCAST Long-Term Forecast Report, its first annual flagship publication.
- 1992
EVA begins publishing its annual FUELCAST Long-Term Forecast, its benchmark forecast for North American energy markets, including power, coal, natural gas, oil, and emissions markets.
- 2003
EVA starts publishing the Monthly Coal Stockpile Report, based on a proprietary market survey, marking its expansion into publishing regular energy market reports for its subscribers.
- 2019
Forbes magazine names EVA one of the best management consulting firms in the country, a title EVA has continued to hold every year since.
